Note 1250385 - DP Job cancellation triggers abend of the process chain

ummary
Symptom

A Batch Job executed within RSPC gets status "cancelled" because an error occured. In this case, the whole process chain stops, even if the link to the next process was set to "always".

Other terms

/SAPAPO/TS_BATCH_RUN; RSPC; SM37 job log

Reason and Prerequisites

When SM37 status is set to "cancelled" (red), an exception ERROR_MESSAGE with an abend is triggered.
This causes the whole process chain to stop.

Solution

Currently, the only alternative is to avoid setting the job's status to cancelled when possible.
This is what this note is doing.
